ISAE (International Standard on Assurance Engagements) 3402 is an internationally recognized standard that measures the effective and sustained operation of the internal controls of an organization, as they are prescribed.
ISAE 3402 Type I - II
ISAE 3402 defines two kinds of audits/reports:
Type I: Documenting a “snapshot” of the organization’s controls
Type II: Documenting over a period of time (12 months) showing controlshave been managed over time.
